This Privacy Policy describes how Herin electronics (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our application Modbus_gateway.

Modbus_gateway connects to Modbus devices via Bluetooth and exchanges JSON data with those devices. The app does not provide user accounts, logins, or registrations, and it does not collect personal information from users.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We designed Modbus_gateway to operate entirely on your device.

We do not:

• Collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or passwords.
• Create or require user accounts.
• Track location for analytics or advertising.
• Collect analytics, behavior tracking, or marketing data.
• Sell or share any user data with third parties.

2. Bluetooth & Modbus Communication

The app sends and receives JSON data directly between your mobile device and the Modbus device.

• Bluetooth is used only to connect to supported devices.
• Data is exchanged locally between devices.
• No data is transmitted to our servers.

3. Permissions Used

• Bluetooth / BLE — required to scan, connect, and communicate.
• Location (some Android versions) — required by the OS for Bluetooth scans. We do not collect or store location data.

4. Data Storage

The app may store small configuration values locally (such as device settings) only to improve usability. This data:

• Stays on your device.
• Is not shared with us.
• Can usually be removed by uninstalling the app or clearing app data.

5. Third-Party Services

Modbus_gateway does not include advertising SDKs or analytics services, and we do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Children’s Privacy

This app is intended for technical/industrial use and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Data Security

We recommend:

• Connecting only to trusted Bluetooth devices.
• Keeping your phone protected with a password or biometric lock.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
